The sheer size and scope (and new picture taking) of KitchenBasic has always stopped me from posting it on the blog but at the end of the day, I created it out of nothing and it's rightful place is here. No new pictures, just the old ones from when I first started in march 2008 to when I left off and started posting my add on's.
Everything in the RAR is updated to the last version I have of the set (which I do not think is the case at MTS) and all fixes are included. There are two subfolders, one with the master meshes and one with the slaves and appliances which also includes the plain & simple dining set. The only true master mesh is the first counter but since there are barstool cushions and invisible recolours which will allow you to enjoy the full versatility of the set they are included in the master folder (and they are needed for the Shakerlicious kitchen set too).

ReplyDeleteThe black recolor doesn't fully work. For example in KitchenBasicExtra UnderCounterDeco AllSorts Cabinet 1, I can't do a black on black. The black drawers show up but the black frame is invisible. Same on the trashcompactor and other counters.
ReplyDeleteThis is only the mesh set so there are no recolours included here. If you are referring to my black recolour still at MTS then I can answer that it does work fully. If you have, as I suspect, downloaded from elsewhere and that download only included one subset (ie: just the counter or just the counterfinish) then no, it will not work as I intended but you have to take that up with the person who recoloured and not me.

ReplyDeleteI love this set however it is turning up bright blue in game. :( I have downloaded and extracted to Downloads folder. I'm not sure what else to do?
ReplyDeleteIt's now time to say thank you soooo much for this absolute fantastic kitchen. It's my favorite kitchen since a long time. Now i play sims 2 again with the ultimate collection from origin. And my first way goes to here. :D @jamie.. this sounds like you have downloaded an recolor of this kitchen, but you need the meshes also to.

I was looking for your stuff on MTS and couldn't find anything there, so googled in the hope they were still available somewhere and it was good to find you have your own blog with your creations still available. Now my sims can have attractive kitchens again. :D

ReplyDeleteI downloaded the mesh and the recolors. They show up in my game just fine, and I can place them. However, when I place the cabinets, as soon as I click somewhere else, like onto build mode, then they disappear. Any suggestions for this?
